The British Horse Society has developed a package of benefits for Gold and Silver members designed to support riders and horse owners.

These benefits include free publications giving news, information and guidance on a wide variety of topics, membership facilities at selected events, locally available help and advice, a BHS Beneficial Bank Visa card on application and a discount scheme including promotional offers on merchandise purchased in the BHS bookshop and reduced entry fees to a large variety of BHS Competitions and training events.

Gold members gain the benefit of automatically inclusive Public Liabilility insurance – up to £10 million for any one claim for all the horses you own, look after and ride regardless of age. This insurance is arranged by South Essex Insurance Brokers (SEIB) and underwritten by St Paul Travelers Insurance Company. Terms, conditions and territorial limits apply.  Personal Accident insurance – up to £15,000 underwritten by Equity Red Star. Terms, conditions and territorial limits apply.

Gold members also get Access to Legal, Tax, VAT and rating helplines (enquiries do not have to be restricted to equestrian matters – refers to UK only)
